Jan 24, 2024. Jenna Roessel presented the different types of traditional marquetry as well as an overview of creating packets for cutting and the steps for assembling the marquetry.
If that isn’t enough to get you excited, Jenna has also built her own Chevalet de Marquetry, a peddle operated scroll saw, and provided a tour of the tool and a short presentation on how to cut traditional marquetry using the chevalet. Don’t miss it.
If you need even more reasons to come to the Eye Opener on Saturday:
- Robert Makar will be taking photographs of smaller projects (things that will easily fit within a 3’ x 3’ x 3’ square). Doors open at 8 AM, so come early so he has time to take all the photographs, and everyone can attend the Eye Opener. Big Thanks to Robert for volunteering his time to immortalize our projects.
- Lumber cycle, a community sawmill that diverts local lumber back into the communities, will also be at the Eye Opener at 8:30 AM. So come see what they have in stock for your next project.
- The Education team will have a representative available at the Eye Opener for anyone who would like to discuss new class ideas or volunteering as a TA or an instructor. Another great way to be involved in the shop.
