Welcome and Announcements
Gary
Gary is working on getting updates from Mike Lewis and Isaac Smith regarding the Website.

remining of 2026, from 1 – 4 p.m.
Design in Wood Update
Gary and Jim
SDFWA will have a prominent display at DIW this year. The display will be located at the main entrance.
There will be sets of children’s tables and chairs, messages on Classes, Holiday Gift Sale and Toys Program.
Gary would like the mini docents to ensure the public won’t miss the display. He would also like feedback
on the reactions from the public.
The Fair is organizing a Media Day. Jim has been asked to make a DIW presentation on this day.
Membership Rate Increase Proposal
Diana and Dara
At the last Board meeting in April, 2026, members had the opportunity to provide inputs regarding the
membership fee increase. Membership Team was charged with the task of putting together a proposal to
eventually achieve parity in each membership category.
Summary of proposed increase (Year 1) effective July 1, 2026:
57 members in Silver Grandfather (May 2017) from $185 to $250; an increase of $65 each.
13 members in Silver Grandfather (May 2018) from $235 to $290; an increase of $55 each.
23 members in Silver Grandfather (February 2019) from $250 to $300; an increase of $50 each.
215 members in Silver Current (January 2021) from $295 to $340; an increase of $45 each.
14 members in Gold Grandfather (May 2017) from $335 to $430; an increase of $95 each.
5 members in Gold Grandfather (May 2018) from $395 to $485; an increase of $90 each.
55 members in Gold Current (January 2021) from $550 to $635; an increase of $85 each.
487 members in Bronze from $35 to $50; an increase of $15 each.
In addition to the 869 members subject to the above rate increase, there are 38 members who have not
used their shop slots. Option to offer these members as Sustaining Donor may be worth consideration.

Communication to Members
Gary
To communicate the increase in Membership rate to SDFWA members, Gary will include that in the
Newsletter and announce it during the Eye Opener. In addition, Shift Supervisors will be given a summary
card with talking points to help clear up any misunderstandings.
• Ultimate goal is to reach parity
• Inflation costs for the past 5 years have been carried by SDWFA
• Added space means added cost in utilities, insurance and facility share costs
To implement the new Membership rate, Dara will change the price deck in the system 2 days before July
for the auto-renewal members. Others will be Invoiced on July 2nd.
