We've spent five years growing a CNC community. Now with our Shop 3.0 expansion and equipment upgrades we're making plans to take CNC to the next level. Just as we did with our lasers, we're recertifying current users on our new CNCs while making plans to teach advanced topics.
Which advanced topics should we teach?
Answering that question was the purpose of our recent Digital Tools SIG. We have talent galore in our community so we asked a select few to parade select topics they enjoy to tempt an audience. The idea here was to expose our Digital Tools audience to lots of ideas and learn what most moved them. With enough interest we'd make plans to offer classes.
Curious? Below is an edited version of our multi-hour presentation marathon.
Here's the key to viewing any specific topic.
- Topographic Milling by Chris Cowger
- VCarve Inlay Milling by Howard Boehm
- End Grain Joinery Milling by Perry Crutchfield
- Multi-Pour Epoxy Milling by Rob Sandstrom
If any of these topics is of particular interest and we haven't heard from you then tell us! Also, if you have other ideas for topics or other suggestions for our Digital Tools program then let us know. We're at our best when we're serving the interests of our community so your input is welcome!
